Has anybody got any photos of the the route of the starter motor main lead from the motor to the battery.
Many thanks in advance.
PS the car is a 65 FNC

Clive, I had the same question. there are various posts on this subject... In many cases it seems to run forward along the square upper LH engine frame tube, down the LHS of the picture frame, across the bottom of the pic frame, back up the RHS, then rearwards along the other side. (I have seen some cars with it running down the sloping round tubes too).
Mine (1967, late S1) was similar except it ran across the TOP of the pic frame, underneath in the recess. As my car seems to have been relatively unmolested I think that was the original route, so I did it that way again with the new cable. It fits nicely up there, where it's a bit less congested than below (loom and brake pipes), requires 2 fewer bends, and interestingly the premade cable I got from SNG would not have been long enough to do it any other way....

Jeremy66,
That's the same as mine, no doubt about it.
