#1 gearbox/shift stick movement

Post by Jeff Poston » Wed May 23, 2018 7:32 pm

I've recently completed a major restoration and overhaul of my '69 roadster. New bushes, bolts etc everywhere. Having driven it for a couple of 100 miles I'm now getting some movement in the gearstick on acceleration and de-acceleration, most notable going from 2nd to 3rd. Is this simply the gearbox sitting down into the rear spring mount or is it an indicator of something loose in the rear mounts - or something else?

Thanks

Yeah, mine's always done that. I've always assumed it's not a problem.
