#1 throttle controls

Post by E-by'eck » Fri Jul 27, 2018 7:01 pm

hi all ... got the SU carbs fitted to my never ending restoration now. The rear slave shaft assembly C18938 (RHD 3.8) was always missing. I could buy as the single item or as a complete throttle kit as the two control rods have seen better days. Has anybody purchased repro's and is there anyone you can recommend for decent quality?

Thanks Graham

I may have one of these purchased new from Hutson but never used.

I will look for it tomorrow and send you a photo.

Hi Graham,
As promised some photos of 3.8 linkage parts.
The story is that when I purchased my imported 4.2 it came with Stromberg carbs and I wishes to change to SU,s. I purchased a set with 3.8 manifold from a forum member and intended to fit these and thus purchased a 3.8 linkage assembly from Hutson. As it happened a 4.2 manifold became available and plans changed. I sold the 3.8 manifold but still have the linkage. It’s never been fitted as the work is ongoing....!

Have a look at the photos and if your interested drop me a note.

Regards

Tim
