#1 Final job, adjust the geo

Post by ETTony » Fri Aug 10, 2018 4:14 pm

OK Maybe not quite my final job.
Last year I had the geo measurements taken in case any were way out, nope pretty good.
Now I have replaced all the bushes, new coil overs and shocks, ride height adjusted.
Time to complete the geo, fresh readings taken. All good except for,
Front camber LH neg 0 20'. RH pos 0 32'
so LH needs shims added to get to. pos 1/4 to 1/2 deg.
The manual tells me 1/16" shim alters camber by 1/4 deg.
So I need 3/16" shim pack. For each upper mount.

Q does the experience of team etypeuk, agree with the manual for the shims.

Thanks again team

Hi Tony....front camber is 1/4 deg plus or minus 1/2deg positive so anyware in the range 1/4neg to 3/4 pos is how i read the manual....also camber for each wheel not to vary by more than 1/2 deg....and yes one 1/16 shim approx 1/4 deg.....so yes 3 shims should get you to 1/2 deg pos both sides....Steve
