Morning all, does anyone know if you can get hold of the rubber tubing that goes round the top and underneath the washer bottle cage on an early series 1. Ta.

Hi,
I had the same requirement last year, but couldn’t find any oem for it, so I improvised with ‘u’ profile neoprene edge trim. Another forum member asked me what I used and I sent him what I had left over (Robbiee), so I cant help you out with a sample I’m afraid.

Woolies Trim or Holden are likely to have this type of rubber.

Neat job Richard - looks great.

For some perverse reason I really enjoy restoring the ancillary items such as this. Very satisfying work.

Thanks. I had to do a fair bit of work on the pump impeller assembly as well. Hard water had mad the plastic brittle and the hose connector at the output had crumbled away. You can’t get replacements the look the same so I had to enlarge the hole from the impeller, glue in a small bore s/steel tube and connect it to a new hose.
Luckily, the pump itself just needed cleaning and oiling.

Thanks Richard, looks great. I’ll try woolies and if no luck may go the same route as you. Cheers. Chris.
