It has taken me 17 years of ownership to grasp just how very complex and inter-dependant the doors/hood/windscreen intersections are, and the rarety of OTS with the correct hood-to-windscreen overlap (my car seen here at BAS in Wales)
I'm just glad you went through all this before me Rory.

In return for you being the guinea pig, the least I can do is post some measurements, all in mm.

Well Simon beat me to it! However I have another idea if you can wait a bit.

This weekend I can pull out my '61 windows and make a trace of each. It will be interesting to see how they match left to right. I will send the tracing to you and you can check them against your zinc metal templates and give us a report. PM me your address.

This might give you further insight into what is going on with your assembly of parts before you spend all your hard earned money.

Thanks Geoff, very generous of you, but my templates are already on their way to Pilkingtons.

I suppose I could compare them with your cut-outs in six-weeks or so time !

But I have no choice anyway and am convinced that this will get me a better seal and appearance than any "standard" glass would.

Great to meet such helpful and like-minded people (saddos ?!) like me on the Forum.
