Hi Simon...Lyons probably got a cheap batch of left or right lock barrels....simple as that :bigrin:

You are not alone! When I bought new barrels from Barrett’s I pondered long and hard about this.
Since we both exist in a higher plane of life than mere mortals, the only option was to fit them both facing DOWN. Much more pleasing to the eye even if not factory original.
I’ve resisted changing one of the bonnet locks so far but soon my medication will run out and then nothing can stop me!

I think that the giggling sticks that connect to the handles can be cut shorter to about 28mts that will allow all the nerds in the clock to rotate anticlockwise then u can make sure the nut behind the wheel is tight and all will be well
