#1 Diff oil change & flush???

Post by rossco_j » Wed Jul 03, 2019 12:22 am

Having removed the diff plug & filler successfully, I'm wondering should I flush the diff housing with something before adding the new oil. The oil appears to be relatively clean but the car has sat for a couple of years before I acquired it. What would be a suitable flushing product??

If you drove the car recently, even only a mile, I would not flush because of removing proper oil from the limited slip clutch packs and coating the clutches with a non- lubricant. Just fill with the correct fluid including limited slip additive.
