Hi can anyone tell me the length of the outer choke cable for a 3.8 FHC .Mine seems to short, has to be routed across heater flap.Ordered a new one, outer cable only measures 27 inches seems to short as well?

That's normal. And bloody annoying.
What I have done in the past is gone to a lawn mower place and bought a generic throttle cable. It needs to have a very stiff single wire inner core to work. You can then cut it to length.

You can make your own to any length...just look up Bowden cable.....you can buy the inner/outer and ends...Steve
