#1 Cam Oil Feed Leak

Post by ALAN COCHRANE » Tue Aug 20, 2019 7:13 pm

Hi Everyone

I have a long standing oil leak from both cam oil feed banjos. This is despite trying everything to stop them. This has included using various types of washer including doughty washers, blue hylomar, "special" washers from SNGB etc. I even tried longer banjo bolts as recommended on here. Nothing seems to work.

I originally changed over to the braided hoses because the original pipes had developed a crack in one of the brazed joints. For the life of me I can't remember if the banjos leaked at this point but I'm now thinking of reverting back to the solid pipe in a final attempt to stop the leaks.

Has anyone found this is a more oil tight option. I know the oil feed rate is higher than the braided hoses so this would be at least one benefit.

Cheers Alan
