#1 Dynamo conversion

Post by lyons » Sun Sep 15, 2019 11:46 am

Can I add to the topic below as I am about to carry out a similar conversion

Can someone who has done this, let me know if there is any advantage in buying/using the dummy control box with fuse or altering the standard RB340 control box on a positive earth car to suit.

Similarly is a smaller pulley worth having when carrying this out.

Thanks

I have done this on a +ve earth car. Smaller pulley not necessary in my opinion. Personally I would fit the dummy regulator - it is an easy job. Slightly more tricky is fitting the relay behind the dash but you should be OK if you take your time and follow the instructions carefully.

Thanks Peter for your reply.

I was beginning to think that all was lost.

Reason for post was that I was trying to save unwanted expense on items not really required as part of this conversion.
