My car has its original horns
They are lucas 2 wire type

The easy way to tell if the coil is duff is to use a meter set on ohms . This will tell you if you have continuity . then I would try individually using a fused feed from a 12v battery ,very often they just need adjusting its worth a try .If you want to send them to me I will do my best getting working.
