Someone was asking for Covid-activity news.

Remember, we've been on shut-down for longer than the UK ............

Great to see you are keeping yourself busy Rory! You'll be glad to know the untidy garage you saw last time you visited is now back in order.
In times of world crisis and turmoil I find it very soothing arranging my spanners.

I too have been donning full protective gear....

Image

And not to go out for loo rolls

Final coat tomorrow then I'll be posting a full write up on how to modify your heater

Looking forward to more pics. ( I never read what you post , I just look at the pretty pictures)

Are you making an E-Type based monster truck to take much needed alcohol based medical supplies from war torn out of town shopping complexes to beautiful middle aged ladies holed up in their leafy, tasteful villages? :scratchheadyellow:

Stop stealing my thunder with heater-boxes, this is about the Covid War Effort.

Hint : Any comments about rotating Louise into a better position will get you banned.

(Ed - but better ask what's wrong with yours before you paint it)

OK, what's wrong here, before I paint it ? Are the spindle and levers correct ?

Me steal your thunder Rory? I wouldn't dream of it.

As regards your pics, that would appear to be a fine example of an early heater box, flap, spindle and levers. Alas mine is a lesser series 2 version with less components and lacking in the engineering complexity of yours.
In short the flap and levers are different so I have absolutely no idea if yours is right or wrong. Still, nice pics and better focus than mine.

Have you considered the Fiero blower modification, given where you live? If you do you will need cut some metal from the veloute. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2240&hilit=fiero

Add the Clayton vents and deflector and the fresh air will vent like a modern car. viewtopic.php?p=92030#p92030

Fiero heater mod already done .......... unfortunately ?

See my comment on Simon's Suzuki post :

The "Fiero" I bought draws a whopping 16 amps ............ and beyond the relay nonsense this generates, stepping it down to a reasonable speed with a resistance is going to create a pointless under-dash heater in the process. Am beginning to agree there must be better solutions.

Back to War Activities, please stop side-tracking my post.

Last time I got involved with this sort of stuff, jokes about bazookas and civil-war seemed innocent enough.

Now we are shut I have some time to work on my project. Luckily cancelling the MotoGP bought me some time as Rossi wants it for the first race this year.

This is getting out of hand, now it's been side-tracked with BIKES.

So be it.

The donor-trailer in my series of teasers, as I prepare Borat-2, is seen here 40 years ago when I made it, at the expense of BNFL, on the graduate training scheme.

Image

We were meant to make an OAP contraption as a group but I was never very good on committee-projects.

This cartoon came out in MCW that same month.

Image

I won't make any comment as when Crespin wakes up he'll want to tell you what's special about the frame shown.

PS Have you lot got nothing better to do ?
