Hello All,
Could someone provide the mounting details of the drivers footrest (BD39516) for a Series 3 2+2 please. A photo or a sketch with some dimensions would be great. Thanks

Hi Ross,
I have only seen footrests fitted to LHD cars - is yours still LHD? Those I have pictures of vary in shape (some flat, others curved) and position so I suspect some were fabricated locally then fitted to suit the owner's preference within the constraints of the metalwork behind the trim. If you have a genuine BD39516 I would be interested to see some pictures of it. I don't have dimensions but these images might help you choose your location.

Hello Bob,
Thanks for the photos. Yes the car is LHD & will remain so. I don't have an original BD39516 but I've tried to fabricate a replica using the illustration from the parts manual. I've made 3 prototypes of different widths, 40, 45 & 50mm. I'll install the most suitable.

Neat metalworking Ross. One point, the PM shows it attached with three screws rather than via the four holes you have incorporated. The use of three might define where Jaguar intended it to fit when you look at the metalwork behind the trim.

Thanks Bob, however attention to detail isn't a strong point. Maybe when I remove the trim panel & see what lies beneath, I'll make a mk II version with 3 screw holes.
