Hello,
the wipers have been leaving smudges on my windows since yesterday. It never happened before! Yesterday when I was driving home it started raining so naturally I turned the wipers on. Instead of helping it got more problematic because there came the smudges! It happened on the entire front windows both on the drivers side and the passengers side. No matter the speed and intensity of the wipers. The smudges made it impossible to drive and I had to turn them off and drive as slow as possible in the rain. Could someone advise please?

Maybe
1. Clean out your wash fluid and replace
2. Possible it was oil/diesel thrown up from road

1. Don't drive in the rain.
2. If it rains, don't use the wipers. They are useless.
3. See 1.

For any genuine smudge sufferers I would do the exact opposite to Andrew - i.e. drive in rain more and use the wipers more. I remember borrowing Angus' silver FHC a few years ago and by the time I gave it back at the end of the week the wipers had bedded in nicely and cleaned the glass. I've had the same on on my 2-wiper S3 and three wiper S2 on wet European trips

Also, I've improved the wiping on my screen by using the uprated wiper arms available at SNGB. They press the blades to the screen better.
