#1 Air filter drum support bracket

Hi guys has anyone got a picture they could send me of the air cleaner support drum bracket underneath that the drum rests on. Mine was missing so trying to fit one but can’t see where it bolts on to as new panels in

Hi Harvey.
If you have new toe boards fitted if you look inside the car you will see a nut insert that is not used by the engine frame fixing bolts but its not been drilled through the panel.
This is what you need, just drill through from inside the car first with the tapping size drill & then open up very carefully from the out side but only for the panel thickness do not drill out the thread.
This is the mounting for that bracket , there should be one punched in the sill end plate already.

Interesting in that I also thought that the air cleaner bracket should be painted black. But should the vac tank also be black ? Mine has been silver for the last 30 years.

The tank should definitely be black with "Trico Reservac" stencilled on it. See link below

The Reservac stencil was only used up until late 1965 IIRC so correct if your car predates that.
