To check whether you have a LSDiff or not, jack the rear wheels off the ground and spin one wheel, with a standard diff the wheel on the other side should rotate in the opposite direction whilst a Limited Slip Diff should rotate in the same direction.
You would need to select neutral, ensure handbrake is off and check for any sticking brakes , hope this is helpfull,
regards, Mike.

Steve

You need to use a diff oil specified for LSD e.g. http://tinyurl.com/3yg72xl or you can add the Jaguar specified additive to stop the plates clicking:

The diff ratio is on a tag attached to the casing e.g. 43/13 - dividing one number into another will give you the ratio, in this example 3.31.

There should also be a similar tag marked "PL" on a Powrlok diff.

I have 2 tags: one with 46 over 13 meaning a final drive of 3.54 and one tag saying BP-L.
I assume this denotes (in another way?) that the diff is blocked. 25% or what might it be?
Car is a S1 3.8 for the US market.
