#1 SNG vs MWS hubs

Post by bitsobrits » Mon Mar 29, 2021 7:42 pm

Looking for input or experience with the MWS and SNG 'standard' offer wire wheel hubs for the E-type. 6 of one and half a dozen of the other? Or are there some notable differences?

They're likely the same.

I don't believe they have the same manufacturer. SNG sells both their own offer (not sure who make it), and ones from MWS. MWS tells me they don't brand label for others though they sell to others (and others may imply that the MWS ones area theirs).

I should have worded my question: which one is better, based on actual experience? I don't trust suppliers these days to tell me if their product has known issues, if is better than their competition, or if their product is actually their own or a bought out part.

As a bit of background, I've recently seen the SNG part fresh out of the package and even brand new the splines have a relatively sharp edge to them, not the flattened off peak of the original Jag part. So I'm wondering if that's an issue or not? I don't want to install a part that may have issues later, especially as it's a rather large effort to replace.

Front or rear?

I think SNG sells Orson hubs (UK made) & MWS (for rear only). The latter I would think are made in Commonwealth :-)
