Andy,

FWIW-Having owned three E types almost continuously over the last 40 years, I found the factory style center muffler hangers to be a very poor design, prone to failure in shear. The OEM originals were marginal, and the repros available today are much worse. The Classic Fabs style are the way to go. Simple, elegant, and durable, and can be used with any center section with a bit of creativity.

I have Classic Fabs manifolds, but used their center section hangers with my own custom center section which has OEM style lugs on the hanger straps.

The below photo is from Classic Fabs website. In my case I have their mounts as shown, but my center mufflers have standard style mounting straps with bolts through the strap lugs and through the rubber mounts.
