Hi I have the felt sound proofing ready to glue to the transmission tunnel at the sides of the gearbox. I can understand the RHS being glued to the tunnel but obviously the LHS requires removal to access the rubber bung to access the gearbox filler.
How was it done originally? What was glued and what was not?

Hi Steve,
Normally, there are 2 snaps on the floor that receive the opposites attached to the left trim.
It's not glued, of course.
For this special point, I recommend you look at a well-restored E-Type.
