1970 2+2 wire flasher question,need help.

On an E-type does the front side marker/running lights flash and under bumper turn indicators flash when the Hazard lights are switched on. Or should it be front and rear turn indicators only. Right now I have Hazards working all 4 corners no side/running lights. I also have the front and rear flashers working including dash lights. So all works as it should.

Here is the issue

When you raise the hood halfway the side lights flash as per the hazards and the turn indicators under the bumper go out. Put the hood down all normal. I checked the connector, shook and bent the harness no change whatsoever. Also all wiring as per diagram and all grounds completed. I even tried an additional ground from hood to frame and I get even different results. Yes I did buzz out the ground
