My heater motor was making some nasty noises and only working on hi-speed, so it suggested a bearing problem. When I removed the motor and opened it up, I found that one end of the shaft was located in a socket which was held in by a retaining ring with several legs. One of the legs had broken off, allowing for shaft movement. I've looked online everywhere to see if I can find any retaining rings / speed clips that would do the job. Does anyone know where I could find parts for the original heater motors? It seems a shame to discard it due to such a small part. I can swap in a different motor if necessary but I like to keep original parts where possible. Cheers.

These are called starkock washers. Take measurements and search your favourite online selling platform. You should find thousands.
