Hi gents,
Thoughts on spraying Hylomar on both sides of genuine 4.2 head gasket before assembly?

Thanks, I missed that. I must’ve been too specific. Answers my question!

I used a composite head gasket supplied by the people who rebuilt my head. Well respected in the etype forum
They recommended VHT copper gasket spray with very specific torqureand re torque process.
I’ve spoken to others who also recommend this product and process.
Series 1 FHC purchased 40 years ago. Courted my wife in it.
Series 1 2+2 when the kids were small now sold.
Series 1.5 OTS in opalescent maroon, Californian car. My retirement present.

Thinking again - I would speak to the manufacturer of the gasket

The head gasket was advertised as and is supposedly a genuineJaguar part, supplied by a proprietary Jaguar parts supplier.
