#1 Considering a teardown of the IRS?

Post by renehawk » Mon Apr 22, 2024 8:54 am

I'm working on getting a firmer brake pedal and, despite extensive bleeding, I still need a second pump for optimal firmness. I've noticed the rear brake pads aren't aligning properly with the discs, particularly the pads near the differential, which have noticeable clearance. This issue occurs on both sides of the car, even though the series 2 Girling calipers have been overhauled and the discs aren't centered with the calipers. Any advice before considering a teardown of the IRS?

You could always undo the rear flexi hose and plug it. If the brake pedal issue is still present, it’s not the rears.
