#1 Fluid in the vacuum tank

Post by rossbraithwaite » Thu Feb 03, 2011 4:38 pm

I have got the vacuum tank off at the moment in order to replace the starter motor. I was quite surprised to find about a cup-full of dark, viscous fluid in the tank. Is this likely to be engine oil or brake fluid (or something else)? Is it a cause for concern and should I make any further checks?
Thanks,
Ross

Ross : see pages 5 ( at the bottom of that page ) and 6 of this thread . It's probably not good news in that it is likely to be brake fluid

Thanks Christopher. I'll search the forum more thoroughly before posting next time!
