Hi all,
After succesfully first started my fully rebuild engine yesterday (soon on YouTube) :D , I noticed the tachometer wasn't working. I was expecting this, because it's an electronic one, simon bbc package:

Has anyone fitted one and does the wiring or tachometer need altering? I have a SII 1969, without ballast ignition.
Many thanks.

My tachometer worked intermittently with electronic ignition. I had it converted from RVI to RVC - which requires some specialist knowledge. It now works perfectly. If you search the web for Smiths RVI and RVC you will see quite a lot of discussion on the topic.
Well done on getting it started.
