#1 S1 4.2 Battery replacement/upgrade

Post by Northwestern » Sun Jun 07, 2015 8:51 am

Quick question, looking back over past posts the Odyssey PC1200LT was recommended as a direct fit upgrade. This battery type does not appear to be available anymore. The number that is closest is PC1200T. Will this fit or can anyone suggest an alternative? I want to use the original clamp etc.
Don't want an original looking battery (Lincoln etc.), tried that before and the result was a waste of money and more stress!

Thanks in advance, Paul

You could try one of these: http://www.antiqueautobattery.com/batte ... /G22L.html

Although they are hand made and externally exact copies of the original Lucas battery they are in fact gel batteries on the inside. I have one and it works well. They will ship to Europe.
