#1 Fiting seal handbrake lever aperture

Post by Desmo » Sat Aug 01, 2015 5:48 pm

Hello,

This rubber seal is unfortunately missing so I need a tip where this seal is originally fitted? Is it glued directly on the inside surface ot the center console aluminium panel or perhaps on the wooden reinforcement there? Thank you for any help.

Best regards
John

Hi John
On my 63 car the rectangle of rubber sheet, with just a simple cut, is glued to the underside of the mild steel box assembly...not the plywood timber nor the aluminium
If you take yours apart you should hopefully see some old glue marks if not bits of the old rubber to confirm
Regards
Jonathan

Hello Jonathan,

Thank you very much for your reply. I will have a look on the steel box assembly. It is a 1962 Coupe.

Best regards
John
