#1 Roadster boot lid springs

Has anybody perfected an easy way to replace boot lid springs - mine have just broken ( one side ) and I plan to replace both?

easiest using some mole grips (small and medium sized)

Of great help is a good strong vice to hold the bracket while pulling the springs in to place.
