#1 Oil Return Hose

Post by mark10337 » Tue Apr 26, 2016 8:27 am

Hi

At some point on my travels through the www I saw a supplier for the Oil Return hose C31171 superseded by C20552 (from the oil cleaner housing to the pipe on the sump) - who had made the pipe ends different diameters to match the connection points. This is an area where I do tend to get weeping leaks.

As is usually the case, I cannot find which supplier this was anymore. Can anyone else recall seeing or buying this somewhere?

What I do is to use the correct size hose for the larger fitting.

I then put a piece of PVC hose about an inch long over the sump fitting, then slide the larger hose over it and clamp.

Yep...mine leaked. As Andrew says get one that fits the relief valve and sleeve the sump connection. Pain job to do but can be done...mine no longer leaks from there.....
