Steve

There is only one place to fit the inertia reel - the top mounting on the rear bulkhead. No room on either side of the seats for anything other than simple point brackets. I have a picture somewhere although I think it is a FHC but the same principle applies - will try to find it and post here.

Here you go - OTS pictures were in Dr Haddock's book:

:D Many thanks David, I knew someone would know. I cannot seem to find Dr Haddocks book at a price I think I can afford.

Steve,

if you look closely, you will see there is a bracket that the belt attaches to. I have a pair of these if you are interested (I am fitting this arrangement to my car).

I have this type of Kangol belt with my early S3 OTS, however the webbing is past it's best. Does anyone have any experience of having this type of belt refurbished?

I would prefer to retain the originals if I can but also must accept the critical safety aspect of having correctly functioning, working belts.

I used Quickfit SBS http://www.quickfitsbs.com/ who can repair the belts with your choice of webbing colour and DaveK highly recommends FDTS Ltd: http://www.fdts-seatbelts.co.uk/

Both web sites are pretty dire but both companies give excellent service - take your pick!
