#1 Milestone

Post by No Quarter » Wed May 01, 2024 9:16 am

After all my questions, something new, just a view of the result so far

Today the E-Type moved under its own power. That's my milestone for 2024, so ahead of schedule. The very picky E-Type connaisseur might be able to spot a few things still missing. Like doors, glass, side chrome and complete (red) interior, plently left to do... It's planned to be finished and MOTd and all that in 2025. But deadlines are not firm, it's hobby, not a job...

Since I bought the car in boxes and apart, I've never drive it before. So had no idea if e.g. transmission and rear diff was working (rebuilt engine myself, so not too worried about that). All seemed to work fine, 4 gears forward, 1 reverse, no humming from rear diff at around-the-farm speed.

All in all a good experience. Until the horn came on, constantly, but could have been worse

Mikael, it’s always great to reach a milestone. Well done and keep up the good work.

Mikael,
I have been following your build and really well done.
Just love the paint colour and wondered what the paint origin was ?
Cheers,
Dave

Dave, my cheapo phone camera has a tendency to try to brighten my world too much...

The paint is not as shiny and flashy in real life as shown. It's Opalescent Dark Blue, and an OTS here in Denmark has the same colour and is very similar.
