Hi all,
I am a GM enthusiast, and have experience with paint/body, sheet metal etc.
I have recently come across a series 1 E-type bonnet. I grabbed it because I know that these cars can be very hard to find parts for and would hate to see it go to scrap. I believe it is a 1962 bonnet. It is missing the drivers side fender. It has fairly rusty, but I'm trying to get an idea if you jag guys would bother restoring it. In my opinion it's totally do-able. Do you have any ideas on what it's worth? Where is the best place to sell it? I suspect it will sit in my yard for many years. I have no desire to make tons of money on it, I just want it to go to someone who really needs it for their car.

Can't see it on the link either....no matter...it is worth what someone will pay. Suggest you put it on the usual auction website with a start price of a tenner and see where the market takes it..

I have taken a number of photos. Can you gents provide me any info with the year? I am of the impression that it is a 1962 bonnet as it does not have the spot welded louvres.

I would appreciate any help. I will likely just list it on ebay for somebody to use bits and pieces. Thank you.

The front underpan might ( and I stress might) be worth saving. The rest looks like scrap

All I can say is that it would be worthwhile as a learning project. Doesn't look to have a commercial value either as-is or to restore properly.

It's restorable, but a LOT of work!
Be best to put it on an auction site and see how much interest it gets.
And yes it looks like its a Series 1 1/2.
