Re hanging my doors on the series 1 1/2 what are the 2 set screws on the hinges on door side for
Is it some factory alignment puzzled

The safety strap is fixed on with 2 panhead screws. But AFAICR there are 4 holes so the same hinges can be used the other way up on the other side of the car. Might that be the answer?

I believe they were installed/drilled at the factory to help assure door alignment as the clamping force provided by the four set screws could be less than adequate. I found them to be very helpful with achieving alignment when reinstalling original doors and hinges.
