I am in the process of converting my 66 2+2 to RHD. When I look at the RHD mounting for the servo fluid bottle, suppliers seem to offer more than method of supporting the metal band that goes around the bottle:
Some seem to offer a bracket fitted on to the narrower of the blanking plates that covers the LHD steering shaft accelerator outlet below.

Other offer a bracket fitted to the brake/clutch peddle box blanking plate.

Or even as in this link a bolt on bracket for the single servo fluid reservoir.

Would any of you with a RHD E Type tell me or even better mind posting pictures of the bracket that should be fitted to a 1966 series one as I’m not sure which type I should have?
Thank you.
Lester

Hi Lester,
Your 66 should have the wider mount as in the centre picture; the top one won't fit, it is for earlier cars.
The bottom picture shows the brackets for the brake and clutch bottles mounted to the bulkhead in front of the driver and a bolt on adaptor bracket to fit the redundant LHD cover (moved over to the left side) when converting to RHD.
It is not originally a bolt on fitment, but would work.
I hope this helps,
Paul

I’m converting a 1970 series 2 from LHD to RHD. I am also after a blanking plate with the bracket to hold the reservoir bottle. Does anyone know where they can be bought? Many thanks.

Huston’s do them.
Series 1 FHC purchased 40 years ago. Courted my wife in it.
Series 1 2+2 when the kids were small now sold.
Series 1.5 OTS in opalescent maroon, Californian car. My retirement present.
