#1 Air con wiring

Post by RobertGrieve » Fri Feb 09, 2018 6:49 pm

Hi all,

Today I re fitted the air conditioning facia and connected up the speed switch and temp control to the best of my knowledge based on photos at the time of disassembly.

I have tested the speed switch and the resistance is moving in line with expectation. However the coiled resistance wire itself is getting hot, and one of them is glowing red after period of time which doesn’t feel right at all.

Wiring diagrams seem very tricky to get hold of.

I have noticed that the white wire here from the temp control is not yet connected to anything - but I do not know where it is meant to go.

I momenterally got a reaction from the motor when turned on but have not been able to get one since.

Any advise appreciated, can’t seems to find much information on my system (delanair) at all

Cheers, Rob

Although it's held under Series 2 manuals in the Knowledge base, I suspect the Air Conditioning manual at item 18 and the wiring diagrams in it may be of some help.
