Hello,
I am just about to start re-trimming the centre console and cubby box on my 1968 S1.5 OTS with a kit from Aldridge Trimmings.
However I have noticed that the cubby box lid/armrest front end is able to move sideways under pressure.
Judging from the inside there are screw holes for two pieces? –that might have hindered this movement? –but they are missing.
Can somebody please advise how it should look? A picture, and where to get any missing parts, would be most helpful!
Thanks! /Calle

As I recall, there was a black plastic piece, about 1.00" wide and just long enough to sit between the sides of the cubby box, that was screwed to the front underside of the armrest. I couldn't find a part number in any of my catalogs or books, but it may be available from any of the usual sources.

Thanks guys for brilliant support!
It is now clear that the part is called BD24989LLG (Centre Armrest Cubby Box-) Lid Locating Guide.
I ordered one from Richard Smith, but also availabel from xks.com (as mentioned) and Martin Robey.
The trimming progresses at a good pace.
Cheers! /Calle

Hi, if you haven’t yet purchased the piece that secures the armrest from moving then one is for sale on eBay just now.
Item number 202302981966
It’s in the US but looks a genuine part.
