Gearbox Breather Pipe

Hi Everyone

Can anyone confirm if the Gearbox breather pipe should be chromed. I had one on back-order from SNGB but they were taking forever to have them produced and I'm sure they said that they were also to be chromed.
Instead I decided to order one from David Manners. I've now received it and it consists of a plain copper pipe with a mild steel bracket and the end cover looks like it's covered in limescale. I'm not impressed.

Not chromed. They are a dull silver probably zinc plated originally.

Thanks for the info.
Since the last post I've contacted David Manners and was impressed by their response. They checked their remaining stock and agreed that the breather pipe was not really of an acceptable standard and as a result offered a full refund and return postage. You can't say fairer than that.
Well done David Manners. Before now I thought you only got this level of service from them if you were a totally annoying git from a certain TV Show complete with camera crew in tow!
