S1 otter switch location "wrong"?
#1 S1 otter switch location "wrong"?
The physical location of the otter switch location intrigues me. I believe it is located in a less than optimal point in the cooling system being on the exit of the thermostat. Most modern cars has it located on the cool side of the radiator which makes more sense to me. My point is that the temperature of the coolant exiting the engine once the thermostat opens, should basically be constant because of the thermostatic operation. So how would it sense to switch the fan on and off....
Best Regards
Philip
