#1 Metal Restoration of Series I: Chassis Dimensions Needed

Post by Vintage Tin Fab » Mon Feb 03, 2020 10:53 pm

Greetings from Canada!

I’ve got a project right now that could use some expert assistance.

Image

This absolute basket case of a 1964 E-Type needs some serious panel replacement, but to make sure that everything lines up, I need more dimensions than I can currently find (I’ve searched this forum and the wider Internet and only found the images below.)

Someone referred to a “Knowledge Base” that includes Series I chassis dimensions? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

These get me started for sure, with some good measurements from datum (which I assume is the floor) point or the zero plane.

Anyone got more? Does anyone recognize where these pages are from? (They’re numbered Pages 26-28, I assume there’s more somewhere.)

Hi...welcom to the Forum.....the diagrams and measurement you show are from pages in the Jaguar service manual....they are also in the Knowledge base section where we have service manuals ..Those 3 pages are all there is in the manual......Im sure there will be other members who have done similar rebuilds will be able to help..Steve viewtopic.php?f=16&t=700

Terrific! Great link, though I looked through many of the manuals and these seem to be the only measurements available. Maybe jig measurements?
