I want to use the correct hose clips for the Vacuum pipes and I believe there are 22 of them in total.
The price of part: C15886/5 at between £5 and £7 each from the usual suppliers seems crazy high. Would anyone have a source for the correct hose clips.
I know Robeys do theirs at 65p each but they sent me a picture and these are a basic clip you can get from any auto parts shop so not good for a detailed build.
Thanks
Chris

Thanks;
Just reading in Factory Fit: viewtopic.php?t=2006&start=10
That the 5/8 clip will not fit the other hoses so only 4 can be used. Does anyone have experience of this?
Thanks
Chris

For the record.
Richard Smith has the clips for £4.00 + VAT but he could not tell me about the dimensions of the hoses in the Vacuum system so any help here would be appreciated.
Of course I could leave the purchase of the clips until I have all the hoses which could be the best idea.
Thanks
Chris

Yes, as I indicated in that post you cannot use these clips on the Cohline low pressure brake hoses (the only ones that do not sweat brake fluid) as they are a metric diameter and slightly undersize. Result is leaks from the fluid bottle nipples. The original yellow tripe hose was much thicker but is no longer available.
The vacuum hoses (as distinct from the brake hoses) seem to work fine with the C15886/5.

#6 Re: Vacuum pipe hose clips
Once again thank you for your help.
For my benefit and for anyone finding this thread later.
On the Vacuum side I count 16 of the C15886/5. Barratts quote this throughout the following drawing.
On the hydraulic side I count four clips and Barratts quote C43599/8, presumably this is to do with the diameter you spoke of.
would it be correct then to purchase the 16 and 4 as recommended or are there smaller diameter pipes in the Vacuum system as well. We have generally measured the Vacuum side at 5/8 in terms of what we have in place.
Many thanks
Chris
