Despite the numerous methods of bleeding tried including the large syringe technique ( four full bleeds so far ) , I still have a two pump pedal. Complete brake system rebuild up to the IRS was done.
I have been advised by my local E- Type restorer whom I respect , to bleed the master.
After my second 2 mile shake down drive , in the garage, engine off , I pushed the pedal several times and the master made a " honking " noise about three times before it stopped ... Air ?
Anyone heard of this ? Seems like a great opportunity to get more air in the lines by bleeding the master.
After a complete engine ,gearbox rebuild , this is frustrating . There have been many hurdles to this 14 month restoration on a " restored " car now with the finish line in sight I am stumped.

Hi Keith....assuming air is getting in somewhere then you need to start isolating...front from rear would be a good start blanking off at the flexi to the rear irs......Steve

Hi Steve,
Good idea , so I gave it a try. Still 1/2" difference from 1st pump to second, not as bad as with the rear flex hose unclamped. This after another 4 oz. of fluid through the right , then left front using the syringe method and after putting 2oz ( a full syringe ) through the loosened master to servo pie at the servo. ( being very careful not to introduce air at any point

Hi Keith....iv never had any problems bleeding brakes.....have a try this way if its different to how your doing it....it needs 2 people or a thick timber to hold the pedal down.......with a tube on the bleed valve into a jar of fluid loosed the valve...press pedal down and hold it down...tighten the valve...release the pedal.....then repeat...very easy with two.. Sometimes the shuttle valve in the servo can jam preventing proper bleeding.

You can sort this out by levering the front pads away from this disc, prior to further bleeding.

No idea whether is actually your problem but worth a try.
