#1 Crankshaft rear seal conversion

Post by drichards » Mon Jul 30, 2018 1:11 am

I need to replace the old rope seal (at the rear end of the crank) on my 3.8 series 1. One of the main parts sellers in Aus sells a neoprene seal made for a Chevy "big block" (whatever that means and I really don't need to know!). Obviously the block needs to be bored out to take the new seal, but I was hoping others might have better/simpler ideas for replacing the old seal. Many thanks
