#1 interior footwell upholstery

Post by redkitty » Mon Aug 27, 2018 9:56 pm

Hi - I have a '67 series one FHC. There is a vertical piece of upholstery in the passenger compartment right below the dash, roughly 14" x 14" with sound insulation on the firewall side. It has come loose, and I am unfamiliar how to re-attach it. Any advice?

Hi, sorry I don’t know your name,

Have a look through Chris Vine a member on heres blog at the trimming section.

Here’s one of many very useful pics.
There is also loads of info on how to fit and in which order the various trim panels.

They're just glued in with contact adhesive.

I would also try and use a high temperature one as this might be why it came loose. There is quite a lot of heat from the exhaust on that side which can soften regular contact adhesive.
