#1 Inner wheel arch rubber strips

Post by Jeremy66 » Tue Nov 13, 2018 8:33 am

I’m fitting the useless rubber strips to the inner wheel arches of my car and having bought a ‘kit’ of the metal retaining strips I’m not sure if my 1966 car should have the two rubber strips attached to the near side inner wings of the bonnet adjacent to the heater duct.

I’ve found photos of cars with these fitted on the net but these all look to be 3.8 cars, does anyone know if they were deleted- they weren’t on the cars original bonnet (in red below).

Thanks

Jeremy

They are on Series 2 cars, so I doubt they were deleted.
