Been mentioned before but try FDTS for safety belts. They are bespoke manufacturers and I understand they supply them to all the big names ...CMC, Clayton, SNG etc . You get a very comprehensive email with all the information you need to help you decide....and at better prices. Your contact is

Thanks gents, I actually emailed FDTS before reading these reply’s. Must’ve read your minds!
I’ve asked them to quote me on both static and inertia. Form over function means I’m still leaning towards static but I agree inertia are much better to use.

Benefits of inertia reel belts:
1 one handed operation. Requires a rigid floor mounted buckle, rather than canvas/webbing.
2 belt withdraws when not in use. No more catching the belt and buckle in the door, or remembering this and having to fling the loose belt across the seat before shutting the door.
3 automatically adjustable to fit. If more than one driver uses the car, this is as valuable a feature as an adjustable seat.
4 cheap and utterly reliable.

Against.
It annoys the tits off concours tarts. Actually, this is another benefit! :bigrin: :wink:

My car has four inertia reel belts. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
