Interior refit kit arrives in the next few days and I'm looking at tackling the headlining on my Series 1 2+2. Bought the car fully disassembled and looking at the parts inventory I find I'm missing BD29352 and BD29353 rear right and left headliner grippers which I will have to purchase. I'm in the dark about how and where they fit. These parts are specific to the 2+2 and all the videos and blogs I've looked at only show fitting the lining to the FHC. Has any one fitted these parts to their 2+2 and can they tell me when they go in during the headlining install. Many thanks

At the back, either side of the interior lamp IIRC.
Unless you still have the fragile fibre board you may find they aren’t needed when gluing sponge-backed headliner to the roof.

Got it. Thanks Peter. Looks like these parts are out of production anyway so I'll try without.

Hi, how did you get on installing your headlining? I am about to do mine. Did you use the the two toothed items that go either side of the interior light ? I have just bought a pair from Hutsons but if they are not needed I wont fit them
