#1 Early series 1 door handle seals

Post by poofacio » Wed Oct 28, 2020 11:02 pm

Rumour has it that early 3.8s may not have had rubber seals between them and the door. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Looking in the parts catalogue at Outside Handle assemblies, I cannot see reference to any 3.8 having rubber seals between the handle and the door.

I think they used dum dum to seal the handle.

Many thanks to both of you, those were my thoughts, just thought I'd ask some knowledgeable folk!

Someone on eBay is selling pre cut rubber seals for the handles.

Look ok to me although I’ve not tried them -yet
Series 1 FHC purchased 40 years ago. Courted my wife in it.
Series 1 2+2 when the kids were small now sold.
Series 1.5 OTS in opalescent maroon, Californian car. My retirement present.
