#1 Blaupunkt radio
The radio in this US-car seems far gone. Almost can't turn the knobs.
Before I do a lot of work, is this an original radio? Worth saving? I won't replace it, and AM, not a lot of things to hear, so if I can't get it to work, I'm thinking about welding up the antenna hole. Were antennas optional?
If worth saving, I want to see if it can make any correct sounds. But can't even see where to wire it (yes, plus to ground), does anybody have experience with these? PDF (he asked optimistically)?
I read the car came with room for 2 speakers (check) but only one speaker (mine has none)? Does radio have two outlets for speakers, being mono?
Any advice?

I've found out now it's a 92220 model. But I haven't found the most basic answer, where is the power/ground connected?
Any info on antennas? Standard? Dealer installed? And where on the car? Any input welcome

I have a Blaupunkt (different model)from similar era. You need to find out the correct polarity before wiring is connected. It will be either POS or NEG earth. The yellow cable on mine is the power lead and earth is attached to the outer casing bolt (rear on mine). The speaker connections are on the side (holes) and are normally connected by small bullet type connectors if you don’t have the original two pin connector block this is the easiest method. Looking at the general condition, it may be past its sell buy date internally but you can get similar or better on EBay. The forum here has details of typical radios that were/could be fitted but ultimately, owners could have individual choice. I couldn’t get the first image any clearer I’m afraid.
Here’s some instructions on auction site:

This seems to be your model:

Here you can find schematics for your wiring:

Thanks guys, excellent responses
Also talked to local Vintage Hifi expert (70s Marantz fans him and me), and the short version, there's absolutely no life in that radio. So I'll just clean it and leave in.
So antenna, I'm tempted to just weld hole in front of windshield, right side. Any comments to that? Antenna was factory? Or?

I have one of these;

To keep the lines clean, I didn’t want a hole drilling so I use under dash aerial which is best for me as I only use radio occasionally and only then with an mp3/iPod connected.

They didn't all have an antennae there, so I think perfectly ok to weld the hole if you wish
