This is a 1964 one owner car with 26,000 miles on the clock and then for 40 years. Lots of interesting original detail and the only disappointment is the missing toolkit:

Some points worth noting:

Screws holding headlamp surrounds and side lights are slotted
Five way terminal for wiper motor is held in place with strapping - the 3.8 had a metal bracket
Early style heater box grill retainer
Position of latches with bonnet closed and locked

Seen on the above car is this cloth label on the battery terminal lead.

Nice pics.
But I really find it hard to believe this car covered only the stated low mileage, given various details.
Is it the car of the Beverly Hillibillies? :bigrin:

Tool Kit

All S1 4.2's left the Factory with a full tool kit which was wrapped in a clear plastic bag (see post #24). If a tool kit was subsequently ordered from the Spares Department it had the part number 11610 and was shipped in a brown bag. The Girling bleeder tin suggests this kit dates from late 1967:
